Objective: Develop inspirational graphics for an event Landor was providing its employees. The event was an evening of music, wine, art and fireworks. The needs where an invitation, posters promoting the event, way finding, t-shirts & other miscellaneous pieces.
Concept: I believe very strongly that when appropriate hand crafted elements in design can be ideal. As designers, we are artists and there is interdependence between art and design.
I wanted to create a design that merged the main themes of the event: art, wine, and music, with the outdoor element of the park (the event was being held in a cove in a sculpture park outside of Cincinnati). Therefore, I created a series of illustration that merged wine or music with trees. My hope was that I could combine these elements in a sculptural way.
